About the event
Humanitarian response is not only shaped by UN agencies and big donors. In Colombia, women, from feminist NGOs to grassroots collectives to crisis-affected communities themselves, are building their own humanitarian responses, largely invisible to mainstream policy and research.
Join us as we explore how care ethics, political agency, and situated knowledge are reshaping humanitarian action from the ground up. This panel discussion will draw parallels between feminist approaches from across the Global South and challenge dominant humanitarian paradigms to make ongoing humanitarian reset move urgently effective. Relevant for humanitarian practitioners, policymakers, and researchers across the Global South and beyond.
Expert Panelists include Gabriela Villacis Izquierdo, Educator & Academic Researcher, ISS, Netherlands, Catalina Domínguez Fernández, Human Rights Lawyer & Gender Justice Specialist, EADI Gender Justice Working Group, and network of HOISA and Humanitarian Observatories
