We Are HOISA

Observation and Humanitarian, both concepts are rapidly changing in South Asia before we grasp them. Time has come to rethink who and what is humanitarian and why it is changing so rapidly. Time has also come to rethink what is observation, who observes, for what purpose, and what are the defining factors. It is in this context, HOISA has come up.

Humanitarian Observatories are coming together with a variety of actors to observe trends and processes in humanitarian governance. Under the International Humanitarian Studies Association, Humanitarian Observatory Initiative - South Asia (HOISA) will organise a series of virtual discussions that will bring several actors, partners, stakeholders and experts together, once a month. Each of these conversations will be recorded, documented and will shape a growing resource and network within and outside South Asia.
